On the 1st of April (and no April Fools joke), we said Goodbye to long-time partner Michael Burnett. Michael retires from practice after 29 years with Accru Hobart (Steele, Braint & Burnett; Steele, Burnett & Nelson; and Accru Steele, Burnett & Nelson).
Michael was well known for representing our core values – he was authentic, focused and always enabling solutions for clients and amongst our team. Michael worked with businesses of varying sizes and had a strong interest in not for profits.
People came to Michael with questions, sometimes lost in confusion, and he could always give them comprehensible solutions. In his time, Michael was the Chairman of both the Accru National Executive Committee and CPAAI Asia Pacific Region. He has also held positions on many boards, of which he will continue on into the next stage of his career.
We will miss Michael’s cheery demeanour around the office but are confident we will stay in touch. For Michael’s clients, his mentoring and client handover in our office has well equipped us for helping you through your next challenge.
